A beautiful and luxurious Turks and Caicos liveaboard dive boat, the Turks & Caicos Explorer II, was designed to be a luxury yacht/charter dive boat.  Designed from the ground up in 1995, she was purchased by Explorer Ventures and put into operation in the Turks & Caicos Islands in February 2005.  Equipped with Naiad stabilizers and a heavy keel, she serves as well as a Turks & Caicos liveaboard and does well on longer, open-water excursions to the Silver Bank, 80 miles north of the the Dominican Republic.

The luxury vessel carries up to 20 passengers and 8 crew. All staterooms throughout the vessel have port lights or windows, individually-controlled air-conditioning, and private ensuite bathrooms.

A comfortable full-width salon, located forward of the spacious dive deck, provides seating for all guests at once, a wet bar, and an entertainment area with DVD and CD stereo. The boat deck, one level up, has ample room for sunning and relaxing; the flybridge includes a wet bar, and comfortable seating for up to 15. The two VIP staterooms located on the upper boat deck, as well as the two forward staterooms on the main deck, are equipped with TV/VCR.

The dive deck of course include nitrox, individual gear bins, rinse tanks, camera table, recharging facilities, and ramp-style stair access to the swim platform for easy access into the water.Scheduling 5 dives daily, including night dives, the vessel boards in Providenciales each Saturday and offers 5 1/2 days of diving each week. You’ll explore the 5 different black coral species at Black Coral Forest, the reef sharks of Provo’s Shark Hotel, the deep-water gorgonians of G-Spot, and the spotted eagle rays of Double D, along with a multitude of other dive sites along the region’s plunging walls.

The luxurious Turks and Caicos Explorer II is a 125 foot (38m) liveaboard with an experienced crew of 8 English and Spanish speaking professionals. The yacht can accommodate up 20 guests in the 10 air conditioned cabins. The choices of cabins include: staterooms 8-10 on the lower deck with twin beds in a bunk style, desk with chair, and hanging closet; Staterooms 3 & 4 on the main deck with twin beds, desk with chair, hanging closet; 5-7 also on the main deck with twin/queen beds, desk with chair and hanging closet. VIP staterooms 1 & 2 on the boat deck featuring a queen-sized bed, desk and chair. All cabins come equipped with individual climate controls and private bathrooms with hot showers, all towels and linens, wardrobe and storage, sea view ports or windows.

Between dives on the Turks and Caicos Explorer II, loads of amenities are offered for your leisure time. Hang in the air conditioned main salon in the comfy seating and watch a movie. Find your favorite outdoor setting where you can enjoy the ocean views and the sea breeze. The awning-covered flybridge is accessed from semicircular stairs on the boat deck. Its comfortable accommodations feature settee seating for 12 to 15, a barbeque, wet bar and helm station. For those working on a tan, the boat deck features a large sunning area with comfortable lounge chairs and provides access via an outside walkway to the two VIP staterooms. Perhaps more activity is what you desire; take an exciting land excursion or go snorkeling.

The Turks and Caicos Explorer II takes its outstanding menu seriously as it knows that good food makes for great diving.
